Dearest Connie, Angie, Mike and Kathy - We are truly saddened by Dr. Dilillo''s passing. Dr. Dilillo was more than just a friend for me and our family; he was an amazing person. He was always so kind and considerate. We always welcomed seeing him at every opportunity we had back in Lincoln, IL during the last years!!
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for everything your family did for us, and especially for me, during these difficult times back in Lincoln - Dr. Dilillo made these times easier and even made me feel part of your great family. Thank you for a life time of wonderful and positive memories! We will treasure these memories forever.
Dr. Dilillo's passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of everyone who knew him. His memory will always remain deep within our hearts.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
With deepest sympathy and Love,
Nestor, Gilberto, Hilda and Family!

Dear Connie and Family,
We just heard through the Lincoln College Newsletter that Joe died in June.
By now, you must be in the midst of reorienting your lives, but we want very much to share with you now.
Joe was our colleague at Lincoln College and served LC and the larger community in a number of ways. As a Political Science professor, he brought fresh air to our small college, and your home was a center, where like-minded faculty and spouses gathered frequently to share fun, good talk and of course, good food! Our memories of those times are still clear after all these years.
Joe used his soccer skills for the benefit of LC and also with youth in the town itself. His service in community groups is well remembered.
He teamed with you, Connie, to teach Seminars with students who joined in Italian Tours. Then you came back and shared these experiences with us at home.
Joe's children were younger than ours, but as they attended L.C. and participated in activities there, we came to know them well.
Joe had a good life, and we will always call him a true friend.
Connie, perhaps we will yet be able to share with you again, but if not, the
memories are enduring.

Dearest Connie, Angie, Mike and Kathy.....I was so sorry to get this message forwarded to me
from Marie. I remember so vividly when Joe and the Indian pediatrician doctor started the
soccer teams...Marie loved it and Tony did, too. Joe would play with just using crutches
It was something to watch. That was so long before the fancy soccer teams of today.
His passing will diminish us all, but we can hold him in memory.
It is hard to believe that you children are older now than my age when I met you in Lincoln.
I will keep you all in my prayers.
Most fondly,
Connie and Larry Bussard

Connie and family, I am so sorry to hear of Joe's death. He was a colleague of my mother, Lucy MacVane, at Lincoln College and coached my Scottish husband, Reg Phipps, when he played soccer at Lincoln College. We graduated from Lincoln College in 1975, the day our oldest child was born and moved to the UK a few years later. We both remember Joe as a kind compassionate and inspirational coach and teacher. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
