Dear Mike, Steve, Mark and Bill,
Lynne and I are so very sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I've decades of memories of Bob, your mother, and each of you --- each memory great and lasting. Whether at church or school, in Bryson City, Cherokee, Cullowhee or wherever our paths crossed Bob was always so gracious and enjoyable. Routinely, whenever we met, it wouldn't be long before his part of the conversation turned to you boys. As you know, he had great pride and love for each of you. Your father will be greatly missed --- and greatly remembered. God bless and keep you.

Dear Mike, Mark, Steve, and Bill,
Please know that you're all in my thoughts. Your dad was such a fun uncle to have with that winning smile, those sparkling eyes, and that special sense of humor.
Mom has a picture from many years ago when all the Dillard adults were gathered at Black Rock Farm weaving seats for children's chairs--your dad had brought them for all us kids and was teaching everyone how to weave the seats. We still have one of those chairs--it's been well used and loved by three generations in our family. Thanks for sharing your dad with the rest of us.

Dear Mike, Steve, Mark and Bill,
We just learned that our dear Bob passed away and want you to know that we hold many dear memories of him and Phyllis. We are so sorry that we won't be able to attend the service. He was such a delightful person, a wonderful father, and a great husband. We spent a lot of evenings at WCU ballgames with him, played some rounds of golf, and back in our working days, had our annual Labor Day back-to-school teacher picnic at your house in Whittier. He had a wonderful personality and was loved by many people. We will miss him. Tom and Alice
