Lynda Martin (Sarti) Crawford
Lynda Crawford, 75, ofthe Ela Community in Bryson City, passed away on
October 27th, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Carr "Bob"
Crawford, parents Dr. Joseph B. Martin and Martha Amelia Caseman Martin, sister
Sarah Martin Morris, and infant son Mark Frazier Sarti.
She was born in Cumberland Maryland and moved to Asheville in 1946. She
enjoyed the outdoors, camping and traveling. She graduated from Owen High School
in 1955 and attended Western Carolina University and the University of North
Carolina at Asheville. She was a kindergarten teacher at Asheville Country Day
School and a Bryson City business owner in her later years. She was a devoted and
loyal member of Bryson City United Methodist Church.
She is survived by son Tony Sarti and wife Dana, daughter Kim Sarti
Cunningham, stepson Robert E. Crawford and wife April, stepdaughter Jamie L.
Crawford, twelve grandchildren, five great grand children, and a niece and nephew.
Services will be held Thursday November 1st at 11:00am at the Bryson City
United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall
immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the
building fund of the Bryson City United Methodist Church.
Crisp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
