Obituary of Davidson Ray Smoker

Davidson Ray Smoker, 61, of the Snowbird Community went home to be with the Lord Monday, October 29, 2012 in a Cherokee Indian Hospital. A native of Cherokee, he had lived in Robbinsville most of his life. He was the son of the late Owen and Ida Teesateskie Smoker. He also was preceded in death by his sister, Alice Jumper and brother, Owen Smoker, Jr.; and a grandson, Shawn David Calhoun, Jr. He is survived by two children, Denise Smoker Sanchez of Robbinsville, O.J. Smoker and wife Megan of Bryson City; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three sisters, Lena Martin of Murphy, Suzanne Agnes Adams of Robbinsville, and Bonnie Teesateskie of Robbinsville. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Crisp Funeral Home.
