Obituary of Neval Simonds

Neval Simonds,77, of the Deep Creek Community, went home to be with his Lord, Sat. Nov. 3, 2012 at Mountain View Manor Nursing Home. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Grover and Catherine Simonds. He also was preceded in death by his wife Irene and son Danny, 1 sister and 7 brothers. He was a member of East Alarka Baptist Church. He is survived by a granddaughter,Tonya Simonds of Bryson City; Sisters, Myrtle Shuler of Tenn., Clara Mae Kirkland of Bryson City, Merilee Hardin of Florida; Brother, John Simonds of Deleware; 2 Special great great nieces Aleah and Hannah Murajda; and a host of nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Tommy Ashe and Charles Ray Ball will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
