Obituary of Richard Ervin Brown

Richard Ervin Brown, 50, of Brendle Road, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, November 3, 2012 at his residence. A native of Durham County, he has been a resident of Swain County for the past 15 years. He was the son of Mildred Hawks of Bryson City and the late James Brown. He also was preceded in death by a brother, James Leslie Brown and his step father, James Hawks.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by three nephews, Russell Brown, Robert and Christopher Brown; and one niece, Amanda Brown.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Sunday November 11, 2012 at Whittier Church of God. Rev. Ned Pressley will officiate.
