Jerome Wachacha, 64, of the Snowbird Community died January 2, 2013 at his residence in Robbinsville. A native of Graham County, he was the son of the late John Wayne and Martha Welch Wachacha. He was a heavy equipment operator for several years before his injury. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Susie W. Read, Edna Chakelelee, Stacey Rattler; brothers, Michael and DeWett. He is survived by brother, Wayne Wachacha of Robbinsville; sisters, Lula Rattler, Gertrude Jumper, and Margaret (Margie) Wachacha, all of Robbinsville; special nephew, Alvin Wachacha and his children, Alexus and Kobe Wachacha; several nieces and nephews; and a special companion whom he loved dearly, his dog Punk. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Buffalo Baptist Church. Revs. Henry Ethridge, Darrin Shuler, and Jimmy Lambert will officiate with burial in the church cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at 5:00 p.m. Sunday by Crisp Funeral Home to await the hour of service. Pallbearers will be Terry Rattler, Scotty Chekelelee, Tommy Chekelelee, Deith Trimble, Jeremy Wachacha, Randy Wachacha. Honary Pallbearers will be Chandler Jumper, Payton Bradley, Kobe Wachacha, Jon Jon Jumper, and Alexus Wachacha.
