Obituary of Clara Lee Watson
Clara Lee Thomas Watson, 81, of the Toot Hollow community was welcomed by Jesus Thursday, January 10, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Ollie Medford Thomas, and wife of the late T.D. "Monk" Watson. She was his hunting and fishing partner throughout his life.
Clara Lee was an L.P.N. having worked at Swain County Hospital for more than a decade. She was a Godly woman who served quietly. She was known in the community for her sour dough bread.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Hilton.
She is survived by a daughter, Debra Randleman of Sylva; one granddaughter, Hunter Randleman Zager and husband Ricky of St. Petersburg, FL; one grandson, Bart Cochran of Bryson City; two great grandchildren, Dylan and Alyssa Cochran; one sister, Dorothy Mae Brown of Bryson City; three ex sons-in-law, Kirk Randleman, Raymond Cochran and David Hilton; and a large extended family.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home followed by a celebration of life service at 1p.m. Saturday. Rev. Paul Sale will officiate with burial in the Estes Cemetery.
