Obituary of Betty Lou Jenkins
Betty Lou Crisp Jenkins, age 79, of Bryson City passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. She was the daughter of the late G.L. and Janie Crisp. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Jack D. Jenkins; her brothers, French Crisp, Everett Crisp, Clifford Crisp; her sisters, Nina McCurry, Pauline Rice and Nellie Wiggins.
She is survived by her daughter, Roseanna Jenkins Brown and her husband Rich of Hickory, NC; her son, Jack Michael Jenkins and his wife Phillippa of Millville NJ; her two grandsons, Arron and Jack Jenkins both of Hahira, Georgia, her step grandchildren; Ginger Brown Zenor and her husband Mark, of Cedar Rapids Iowa; Charlotte and Isobelle Kennedy of Norwich, England and two step Great Grandchildren; Alexandria and Walt Zenor also of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Betty Lou grew up in Bryson City, graduated from Swain High and retired from the Swain County School system.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home in Bryson City on Sunday, January 20, 2013, at 6:00pm, with the Rev. Larry Foster officiating.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Memorials may be made to the "Wounded Warrior Project" or "Gideons International" in memory of Betty Lou Jenkins.
