Obituary of Gwendolyn Monteith DeHart

Gwendolyn (Gwen) Monteith DeHart, 83, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in a Swain County health care facility. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Gunter Monteith and wife of the late Carl DeHart. She was a member of Bryson City First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Douthit.
She is survived by three sons, Roger DeHart and wife Debbie of Bryson City, Jerry DeHart and wife Linda of Bryson City, Mark DeHart of Georgia; two grandchildren, Savannah DeHart and Chrystal Watkins; three great grandchildren; and three brothers, John Monteith of Bryson City, Max Monteith of Cherokee, and David Monteith of Bryson City.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Dr. John Tagliarini will officiate.
