Obituary of James Lowery Colville
James Lowery (J.L.) Colville, age 96, of the Ela Community passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Harris Hospital.
He was the son of James Lowery (Patrick) and Jane Reeves Colville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Crisp Stratton; and brothers, Reeves M., Samuel, and John Colville.
He was a retired Highway Contractor and owned & operated J.L. Colville Construction Company and Warrior Motel.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Colville; daughters, Pat Colville of Bryson City, Polly Colville of Cullowhee; son, Bryson Colville of Cullowhee; one brother, Robert Colville of Jackson, Tennessee; one sister, Elizabeth Colville of Cincinnati, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; special niece, Kathryn Greeley of Waynesville, nephew, Stephen Colville of Bryson City, and friend, Vicki Horne of Bryson City.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Ray Ball will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
