Obituary of Helen Ann Becker

Bryson City Dateline: Helen Ann Kirkland Becker, 90, of the Deep Creek Community, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 13th, 2013 in a Swain County Health Care Facility. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Teague and Leona Slaton Kirkland. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Hilda Blankenship, her first husband Wade Crain and second husband Johnny Becker. She was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by three daughters, Jolene (Jo) Mathis and husband Jim of Bryson City, Shelda Cooper of Alpharetta, GA, and Susan Childers and husband Tom of Winston-Salem; four step children, Shirley Jones and husband Bob of TX, Eddie Becker and wife Donna of Rogersville, TN, Bill Becker and wife Susie of Lexington, SC, and John Becker, Jr. of Bryson City, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Cogdill will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park.
