Obituary of Jerry William Reagan

Jerry William Reagan, 71, of the Alarka Community went home to be with the Lord Saturday, April 20, 2013 in a Jackson County Hospital. A native of Gastonia, NC and longtime resident of Ocala, FL, he had lived in Swain County since 1978. He was an active member of Deep Creek Baptist Church and had taught Sunday School for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buck and Frances Miller Reagan; brother, Larry Reagan; and two sisters, Jo Ann Connelly and Barbara Reagan. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ann Reagan; five children, Jerry Reagan, Jr. and wife Harriet of Clinton, Miss., Leon Reagan and wife Reta of Candler, Deena Greene and husband Bobby of Whittier, Annette Reagan of Bryson City, Carl Reagan and wife Jennifer of Waynesville; nine grandchildren, Ashley Elders, Rebecca Fisher, David Reagan, Elizabeth Reagan, Kelly Cooper, Sean Cooper, Brett Cooper, Ryan Reagan, Erin Reagan; two great grandchildren, Reagan Elders, Brody Elders; three sisters, Shirley Nichols of Dunnellon, FL, Ezalee Soldano of Dunnellon, FL, Candy Reagan of Ocala, FL; and two brothers, Ronnie Reagan of Dunnellon, FL and Buck Reagan III of Ocala, FL. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Deep Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Mike Cogdill will officiate with burial in Fred Cochran Cemetery. Te family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Crisp Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
