Ruth, Kenneth, Lawrence, Bernice ... I'm really sorry to hear about Lon passing away. He was a fine person and a more than exemplary uncle to me and my brothers while growing up on Wesser Creek. He was as big as a bear and stronger than a gorilla, but had the kindest hart and a winning smile. He pretty much taught me how to whistle and when I do it now I can still see that my puckered whistle lips are the mirror image of his. I miss uncle Lon and the whole lot of you guys up there on the mountain, but now that he's gone I miss you even more. The passing of a loved one, no matter your age or experience, leaves a big hole in our lives so I'm sorry for you and I wish I could convey my condolences in person.
