Obituary of Edward Lee Brendle
Edward Lee Brendle, 71, of the Maple Springs Community, went home to be with the Lord Sunday October 6, 2013 at his residence. A native of Virgina and life long resident of Swain County,he was the son of the late George and Nancy Brendle. He was preceded in death by one sister Vivian Cody ; two brothers, Fonzie and Stanley Brendle.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Glenda Breedlove Brendle;one daughter Teresa Thomasson and husband Kevin of Bryson City; two grandchildren, Rebecca Thomasson and Christopher Thomasson; two sisters, Wanda Ball and Ethel Osborne; one brother, Dockie Brendle.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Maple Springs Baptist Church. Revs. Max Cochran and David Burch will officiate with burial in Maple Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Crisp Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
