Obituary of Clem Dewight Jenkins

Clem Dewight Jenkins, 69, of the Robinson Gap Community passed away Saturday, October 19th, 2013, in a Swain County Health Care facility. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Herschel and Carrie Campbell Jenkins. He was preceded in death by a brother, W.B. Caldwell; and a sister Margaret Louise Haynes. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sherry J. Jenkins; one daughter Ann Marie Wright and husband Robert of Bryson City; a special grandson, Trever Wright of Bryson City; two brothers, Charles Jenkins of Canton and Ron Hurst of Williamsburg, VA. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Roger Frady and Tim Barker will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park, with military graveside rights conducted by VFW Post 9281 in Bryson City, NC. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:00 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Swain County United Gift Fund, PO Box 222 Bryson City, NC 28713.
