Obituary of Pauline Dillard
Pauline Dills Dillard, 86, of the Wesser Creek Community went home to be with the Lord Monday, October 28th, 2013 at her residence. A native of Swain County and a longtime resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Richard Monroe and Octie Truett Dills and wife of the late James Robert (Bob) Dillard. She was a retired teacher having taught in Haywood and Swain Counties. She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
She is survived by two sisters, Hazel Burns of Tullohoma, TN, and Olene Witcher of Greensboro, NC; two sister-in-laws, Juanita Dills of Bryson City, and Helen Dills of Trinity, NC; numerous nieces and nephews, and caregiver, Phyllis Phillips of Franklin.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Max Cochran will officiate with burial in the Lovedale Cemetery in Sylva, NC.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Serenity Baptist Church at 7555 Highway 74 West, Bryson City, NC 28713.
Pallbearers will be Travis, Ryan, and Bryan Cochran, Brandon Dills, and Tyler and Ethan Gibson.
