Obituary of Gladys Parris Hensley

Gladys Parris Hensley, 83, of the Conleys Creek Community went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 20, 2013 at her residence. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter. She is survived by three sons, 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, five sisters, two brothers, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at Cold Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Earl King will officiate with burial in the Parris Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Sunday at Crisp Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. At other times, the family will be at 129 Central Avenue, Bryson City, NC 28713. Pallbearers will be Danny Skidmore, Bo Warren, Timothy Woodard, Myron Parris, Michael Tucker, and Mark Parris.
