Obituary of Betty Lloyd Crisp
Betty Lloyd Crisp, 92, of Ela, went home to be with the Lord Monday, September 22, 2014 in a Haywood County Hospice Center. A lifelong resident of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Mary Franklin Lloyd. She was a member of he Cherokee Baptist Church. She was the director of a Head Start Program and was very dedicated to the children who come through that program. She was a very loving and caring mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Crisp.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jane McMahan (Harry Lee - deceased); three sons, David Crisp (Sandra), Charles Crisp (Lisa), and Steve Crisp; five grandchildren, Chuck McMahan (Jonna), Scott McMahan, Katie Crisp, Robbie Crisp, and Stevy Crisp; and three great grandchildren, Scotty McMahan, Ryan McMahan, and Scout Claxton; and special caretakers, Barbara Wiggins, and Brenda Shuler.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday at Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 11:45 am Wednesday at Crisp Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Medwest-Haywood Hospice and Palliative Care, 127 Sunset Ridge Road, Clyde, NC 28721.
Pallbearers will be Chuck McMahan, Scott McMahan, Robbie Crip, Ryan McMahan, Scotty McMahan, and Rick Webb.
