Margaret Elizabeth Zilke-Oliver, age 93 of Swain County in Bryson City, NC passed away 10/12/16 at Sunrise Assisted Living, Phoenix, AZ Funeral Service will be held 4:00 PM Friday October 21, 2016, at Crisp Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Ray Ball officiating. Internment will follow in Swain Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM Friday at the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Mrs. Oliver was born 3/26/1923 to the late Rufus & Cora Johnson. Before retiring, she had been employed by the Board of Education in East Hartford, CT for 25 years. She was a homemaker, a member of Victory Baptist Church, a loving wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter Diane Norris of Albany, GA; one son, Bruce Zilke of Fountain Hills, AZ; one sister, Nettie Gatti of East Hartford, CT; five grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Berlin Oliver of Bryson City & her husband of 36 years, George P. Zilke who passed away in 1984. She was also preceded in death by brother William Johnson and brother Alonzo Johnson.
