Obituary of Margaret Anne Calhoun

Margaret Anne Calhoun, 90, formerly of Bryson City, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016 at her residence in Asheville, NC. A longtime resident of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late George M Cole and Margaret Killian Cole of Tennessee.
She was a member of the Bryson City First Baptist Church and helped her husband operate Wallace's Grocery and Bait Center for over 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace C Calhoun, a son, Steve Calhoun, one grandson Gregg Wright and brothers George E Cole, William A Cole and James V Cole.
Margaret Calhoun is survived by three sons, Dan Calhoun and wife Karan of Gaffney, SC, Joe Calhoun of Blacksburg, SC, and Jim Calhoun and wife Arlene of Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren, Clayton, Brian, Anne, and Jared.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday October 27, 2016, in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. John Tagliarini will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday October 27, 2016 at the Funeral Home.
