May the Lord give the family grace and strength in this time of sadness. I grew up with the Messer family in a small rural community that no longer exists. Nelson was a good man and I know Heaven gained a beautiful soul. Prayers for all the family.

My Uncle Doss, I love you so much. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there for me even when I didn't know you were. You were the kindest man I have ever known. Not once did I ever see you angry or even upset at anyone. Always there for all of us ready with a helping, guiding and patient hand. You will never be forgotten and surely missed. You were always larger than life to me as a little girl. God Bless You. Joe, to you and your family, may God hold you close and protect you during this painful time.
