Gladys Adaline Stephenson Kimsey, 88, of Whittier, formerly of Bryson City went home to be with the Heavenly Father Thursday, March 23, 2017. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Garland and Julie Woods Stephenson and wife of the late Morris Kimsey Jr. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Travis Watkins.
She is survived by her son, Mike Meadows of Jackson County; daughter, Shirley Ward of Jackson County; grandson, Brandon Meadows; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 11 am until 1 pm Sunday at Crisp Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow at Sawyer Cemetery.
