Obituary of Walter Robert Franks

Walter (Bud) Franks, 67, of the Needmore Community, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday April 15, 2017. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Guy Posey and Olive DeHart Franks.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy Fisher Franks; two sons, Shane Franks of Franklin, NC and Trent Franks of Bryson City; five grandkids, Shana, Stephanie, Dalton, Brent, and Hunter; one great grandson, Jude; two sisters, Jean Hinz of Arkansas, and Brenda Fisher of Bryson City; one brother, Bill Franks of Chicago, IL; two favorite nephews, Scott Woodard and Jamie Fisher; favorite nieces, Pat Herrin and Sherry Heisel, and many more nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Grave Gap Cemetery.
The Family will receive friends form 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Monday at the Funeral Home.
