Obituary of Barbara Sharon Watson

Sherry Shuler Watson, 61, of Lugoff, SC, formerly of Spartanburg entered eternal rest on May 18, 2017. Sherry was born on August 8, 1955 and was raised in Bryson City, NC. She is a graduate of Swain County High School. Sherry was a loving wife to her husband Bill of 44 wonderful years. She loved her sons very much and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church in Bryson City, NC. She enjoyed volunteering at Spartanburg District 2 Schools in numerous capacities and substitute teaching. She was an avid reader, and loved taking trips to the beach and mountains every chance she got. Sherry is preceded in death by her mother Barbara Roberts Shuler. Survivors include in addition to her husband Bill; her father Jack Shuler of Bryson City; brother Perry (Diane) Shuler of Bryson City; sister Debra (Steve) Shetley of Candler, NC. Sherry had three sons, Tim (Jennifer); Jason (Robin); Matt (Melissa) and beloved grandchildren Caleb (Erin); Bryce, Chandler, Benjamin, Rubye, and Leah, all of Spartanburg. In addition to many nieces, nephews, and close family friends. A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, May 23rd at 11:00 AM held at Holly Springs Cemetery, 77 Holly Springs Church Rd. Bryson City, NC. A Memorial service in celebration of Sherry's life will be held at Parkway Freewill Baptist Church, 3615 Parris Bridge Rd.
