I met Mike long ago. He asked me to marry him. I was foolish to say no. He was kind and loving and always treated me with respect. Funny, sweet and generous is how my family and I will remember him.

I am so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. I really enjoyed Mike and considered him a friend. He was always so fun and kind. We use to get together and play basketball at WCU and play all afternoon without losing a game. It would be Mike, Phil, and me and whoever. We would laugh and listen to Phil be Phil. Mike was a very great athlete and a even better person who was very kind to others. He will be missed. God Bless you all.
