Obituary of Mildred Gunter

MILDRED JEANETTE GREEN GUNTER, 82, a Lifelong resident of Alarka, passed away Thursday Night April 22, 2010 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents Rufus Coleman Green and Mary Florence Cochran Green. Sisters: Marian Embler and Genieve Smith and brothers Buel Green and Hobart Green.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Gordon James Gunter of Alarka. 2 Sons: Gary Gunter and his wife Elaine of Cleveland, Tn., and Andre Gunter and his wife Shelly of Alarka. Granddaughters: Nicole Gunter of Birmingham, Ala., Jennifer Caballero and her husband Josh of Waco, Texas. Sister-in-laws: Christine Green and Rose Green. Brother-in-laws: David Embler and Willard Smith. Special Cousin Carolyn Crain. And Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday at Mt. Vernon Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Max Cochran and Jeff Waldroup officiating. The Family will receive friends at Crisp Funeral Home Sunday from 7-9 PM. The body will be at the Church 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Brendle Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Gunter, Edward Green, Austin Greene, David Smith, Earl Jones, and Curtis Cochran with Ronald Green serving as a honorary pallbearer.
