Obituary of Beatrice Ann Waldroup

Beatrice Brooks Waldroup, 70, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 31, 2017. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Lloyd and Lela Garland Brooks. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Opal Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Billy E. Waldroup; two daughters, Vida Nadean Cody and husband Scott of Bryson City, Jamie Marie Winchester and husband J.T. Winchester of Bryson City; three grandchildren, Thomas E. Cody, Isabella Cody, Jude Winchester; one great grandchild, Dewayne Sellers; one sister, Vernell Brooks Coday of Bryson City; nieces and nephews, Mary Leah Coday, Leahman Coday, Jr., and Phillip Landon Coday.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 9m Friday at Crisp Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gideons.
