Irene C. Wilson, 96, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 13, 2017. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Lee and Nora Ann Nichols Crisp and wife of the late William O. Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Vincent and Earl Crisp.
She is survived by her son, William O. Wilson, Jr.; and her grandson, William O. Wilson, III.
Irene was a lifelong resident of Bryson City where she was in business as a beautician for over 50 years. She had her own Bed and Breakfast and was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Bryson City.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the youth ministries at the First Baptist Church of Bryson City.
Crisp Funeral Home is assisting the family.
