Vickie Carpenter, 52, of Whittier, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, December 21, 2017. A longtime resident of Swain County, she was the daughter of Alvin and Gail Massey of Whittier. She is preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Massey.
Vickie was a member of Whittier Baptist Church.
She is survived by three children, Amanda Carpenter of Whittier, Darryl Brandt of Bryson City, and Brandon Carpenter of Gastonia, NC; one sister, Rebecca Massey of Whittier; one brother, Jimmy Massey of Bryson City; grandkids, Avianna Wildcatt, Kaden Carpenter, and Jason Carpenter, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
