JoAnn Briggs Craig met the Creator January 22, 2018. Born November 1, 1933 JoAnn was a gifted artist and talented crafter. She delighted in sharing her gifts with others. Born in Swain County, she lived in the Deep Creek community for a number of years. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Craig.
Surviving are sons Leo Craig (Kim) of Sylva and Russell Briggs of Raleigh; granddaughter, Amy Holt (Andy) of Raleigh; and sister, Leo Moore of Weaverville.
In accordance with her wishes, no memorial service is planned; rather, take a moment of silence in appreciation of this wonderful lady. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to swaincaringcorner.org, or to the United Gift Fund, PO Box 222, Bryson City, NC 28713.
