Carolyn D. Cabe, 78, of Sylva went home to be with the Lord Friday January 26, 2018. A lifelong resident of Jackson County she was the daughter of the late Joe and Elba Ashe Davis. She was a charter member of New Hope Baptist Church. She retired from Western Carolina University as acting registrar.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Hugh M. Davis.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years L.C. Cabe; two daughters, Michelle C. Bowers and husband Paul of Sylva; Cheryl Crowe and husband Kenny of Sylva; grandchildren, Nicole Welch and husband June, Danielle McKinsey and husband Sani, Nathan Crowe and wife Ashley; two great-grandchildren, Boss Welch and Hudson Crowe; and two sisters Susan Winchester and Jan Moore.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at New Hope Baptist Church. Revs. Ernie Jammison, Mike Moore, and Earl Holden will officiate with burial in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday at the Church.
