Obituary of Charles Michael Dellinger

Rev. Charles Michael Dellinger, age 76 of Bryson City, NC went home to be with the Lord March 10, 2018 at home surrounded by family and friends. He was a native of Charlotte and the son of the late Dewey and Blanche Dellinger. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Nancy Dellinger Gibson. He is survived by his loving wife Mildred Bishop Dellinger, three daughters Vicki Beecher and husband Mark, Tena Bryson and Teresa Keber and husband Bob; four grandchildren, Tiffany Cothran, Daniel Leverette and wife Lauren, Heather Brown and husband Gregory, Diana Keber and two step grandchildren Kim Elrod and Chris Beecher and 19 great grandchildren. He was ordained in 1965, preached multiple churches throughout North Carolina, Georgia and New York, lead multiple missionary missions, and was the Director of Mission for over 15 years in Western North Carolina. He always had a great smile and loved talking with anyone. He never met a person he didn't like and truly cared about everyone. Mike enjoyed working with the Smoky Mountain Railroad in their museum and working as a hobo on the polar express. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Bryson City. Dr. John Tagliarini and Rev. Ted Duncan will officiate with burial in the Ellijay Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin, NC. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Crisp Funeral Home.
