Obituary of Arvil LeQuire

Arvil LeQuire, 79, of the Alarka Community, died Monday September 3, 2018. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Glen and Mae LeQuire. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Shirley LeQuire, his four sons, Billy Ray, Johnny, Tony, and Gary; brothers, Fred, Wayne, Lester, Estes, and Billy Ray, and a sister Aileen.
Arvil was a member of Governors Island Baptist Church in Bryson City, NC.
He is survived by sons, Mike LeQuire and wife Theresa, Brandon LeQuire and wife Gianna, and Darrell LeQuire and wife Stormie; a sister Pearl; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; close friends, Tim and Sarah, and Harold and Marylon, and many more, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Frady will officiate with burial at Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday at the Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Larry, Josh, Mickey, and Dustin LeQuire, Scott Cody, Dylan Smith, and James Taylor.
