Obituary of Robert Walter Cooke

Robert (Bobby) Cooke, 71, of Whittier, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, October 31, 2018. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Alfred and Edna Collins Cook. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by one daughter, Regina Shuler; 6 brothers, and 2 sisters.
He is survived by two daughters, Olivia Parton of Bryson City, and Amanda Sweet of Bryson City; four granddaughters; five grandsons; two sisters, Ella Mae Kirkland of Whittier, and Carolyn West and husband Robert of Highpoint, NC; one brother Kenneth Cook and wife Laura of Sylva, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday at Deep Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Mike Cogdill will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday at the Church.
Bobby was a loving and kind-hearted Father, Pa Paw, and friend. He was such a treasure to his family and will be greatly missed.
