Obituary of Buel H Tabor

Buel H. (Bud) Tabor, 74, of the Alarka Community went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at his residence. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Clyde and Effie Freeman Tabor. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Clyde Junior Tabor, Cecil Tabor, Carrol Tabor, Newell Tabor; and one sister, Polly Stroud. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Birchfield Tabor; two daughters, Pamela Craig and husband Robert of Cherokee, Patricia Tabor of Bryson City; two sons, Clyde Buel Tabor of Bryson City, James Lee Tabor of Franklin; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, J.C. Tabor of Bryson City; and one sister, Hazel Grooms of Asheville. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Gary Moore will officiate with burial in Brendle Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
