Obituary of Ronnie Reed Queen

Bryson City Dateline: Ronnie Reed Queen, 62, of the Deep Creek Community, went ho me to be with the Lord after a period of declining health, Tuesday, June 5th, 2012 at his home. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Lon Dennis and Eva Bolin Queen. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Jenkins and Reva Millsaps, and one brother, Bill Passmore. He is survived by a son Ronjie Queen of Wilmont, one daughter, Samantha Queen of Bryson City, two grandchildren, Angel Jasmin Parsons and Lily Josephine Jones, a Life Long Companion Tina Queen, three sisters Imogene Henderson of Hendersonville, Barbara Q. Jordan of Whittier, and Nancy B. Ammons of Bryson City, two brothers Dennis Queen of Alexis, NC, and Roger Queen of Sylva, NC. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Ned Pressley will officiate with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Tina Queen for all of her love and care giving she gave Ronnie during his Illness and Med West Hospice for there care for Ronnie.
