Janie was in my life for a very short 12 years of school. But, she left a mark that allows me to remember those years as though they were just yesterday.

I remember Jannie from Selma School. She had the most beautiful spirit. She was always smiling and had a wonderful laugh. She was a serious basketball player. Everyone smiled when she walked up to them. My sincerest condolences to the family. I am pleased that she had a life full of love, laughter and family. She was a bright light in this world.

My thoughts and prayers are with Walter and I honor the love Walter and Jannie shared through the years.
My heart also goes out to Jennifer and Caroline at the loss of their mother. May you be comforted by that part of her that you carry with you.
As Jannie's cousin, I remember when we were youngsters. Oh, did we laugh. Jannie was very funny with a dash of mischief!
