Obituary of Marie Golden Kent

Marie Golden Kent, 80, of the Shepherd's Creek community was called home to be with the Lord February 19, 2010. She was born in Swain County, to the late James Willie Golden, Sr. and Mary Emma (Duvall) Golden Howard. She was the wife of the late Zeb Kent. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronnie M Kent, a grandson, Willie Kent and a brother, James W. Golden.
She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Larry (Ruth) Kent of Candler, Kenny (Gloria) Kent of Whittier, two stepsons, Tom (Marlene) Kent of Cincinatti, OH, Robert (Linda) Kent of Weeki Wachee, FL, a step-daughter, Bonnie (Miles) Bryant of Breman, GA. She was a loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family and all who were blessed to know her.
Funeral services will be held 3PM Monday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home in Bryson City with the Reverends Eddie Stillwell and Ray Fox officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from _2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
