Katryna E. Anders, 49, of the Air Port Hill Community went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 27, 2009 in a Asheville Hospital. A native of Gaston County, she has been a resident of Swain County for the past 5 years. She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Colleen Swink Evans. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Evans.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Gene Anders; two children, Chrystal Nelson of Bryson City, Allen Nelson and wife Teresa of Simpsonville, SC; one step son, Jama Anders and wife Amy of Cherokee; four grandchildren; three sisters, Jane Beverly and husband George of York, SC, Teresa Lytton and husband Lee of Cherryville, NC, Kim Golob and husband Mike of Irmo, SC.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Matthew Lytton will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
