Obituary of Jesse James Smith

Jesse James Smith, 72, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord July 1, 2021. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Benny R. Smith and Ila Whitesides Smith.
In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his son, Reggie James Smith and three spouses, Linda, Lila, and Joyce Smith.
He is survived by children, James Cassidy Smith (Jennifer), Andy Smith (Patricia), Linda Walker, Elizabeth Melton (Roger), Donald Smith, Jesse Smith Jr.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one sister; and three brothers.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Marty Pressley will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
