Troy Lee Herron of Iron Station NC passed away August 25, 2021 at the Mt. View Manor in Bryson City, NC.
Mr. Herron was born September 20, 1929 to John Mac and Berdie Bridges Herron in Bryson City NC. Troy is preceded in death by his mother Birdie and father John Mac. Beautiful wife Jeanette Herron, Son Randy and wife Genie, Grandson Travis Lee Herron, daughter in-law Sherry Hail Herron, Brothers, Wesley, Albert, Odell, Jessie Herron, Sisters Tennia Houser and Dallie Sanders.
Troy is survived by son Terry and wife Sandra Herron of Iron Station NC, Son Ellis and wife Kim Herron of Denver NC, 10 grandchildren, Sisters Betty Shepard, Maxine Bradshaw, and brother Dave Herron.
Troy was a proud veteran of the Korean War with the US Army. He was a very smart man. An avid story teller. Everyone loved talking to him and his stories.
