Obituary of Linda Marie Toney

Linda “Lulu” Marie Toney, 35 of Canton, North Carolina made her final journey home to be with the Lord on September 26th, 2021. She is the daughter of Kattie and Charlie Walker and the late Ronald Toney. Aside from her father, she is preceded in death by her Grandparents, Charles and Linda Toney, William and Marie Adams, George and Leois Walker; five uncles, two aunts, and two infant cousins. Survivors include her children, Katelynn and Christian Ward; siblings Robert (Samantha) Walker, Jason (Mandy) Walker, Shannon (Brandon) Carpenter, Ronald (Courtney) Toney, and Brenda Price; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; the father of her children Marty Ward; special cousin/best Friend Mindy Esser, lifelong best friend Angela Barker; and special friends Al Hargrove, Cary Rhea, Audrey Worley, and Angie Fisher; God Mother Cathy Lambeth, and God Brother Joseph Capes. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday October 2, 2021 at the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday October 2, 2021 in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home with the Reverends Chris Nations and Jim Frady officiating. There will also be a graveside service at a later date at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia, North Carolina where her remains will be placed next to her father, per her wishes.
