Obituary of Colene Ogle

Naomi Colene Ogle, age 89, went home to be with her heavenly Father on October 24, 2022, where her loved ones were waiting. Colene was a loving, devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister, who gave generously of her talent as a caretaker. She was a skillful cook and a meticulous housekeeper. She enjoyed time with her family, doing puzzles, traveling, fishing, and listening to gospel music. Her love of the Lord was evident to all with whom she came in contact. A native of Swain County she was the daughter of the late Mack and Cora Golden. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Ogle; her brothers and sisters, Adam Golden (Marquerite), Eva Nell Fredell (Fred), Bobby Golden, Mary Ruth Grant (Ralph), and Jean Phillippi (Stan), and one grandson, Casey Dean Wood. Colene is survived by her children, Linda Mackey (Jim), Larry Ogle (Linda), Sharon Wyatt (Alan), Patricia Fortner (Earl), and Michael Ogle (Beth); 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. A private family graveside service will be held at Sawmill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
