Obituary of Wanda Ballew

Wanda Ballew, 78, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Saturday, December 3, 2022. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ida Watson Kirkland and wife of the late Wayne Ballew.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Doug Ballew; and siblings, John, Taylor, Mack, Bob, Benny, Patricia Kirkland, Cora Lee Gosnell, Christine Mauney, and Dixie Hughes.
Wanda is survived by her three sons, Allen Ballew (Debra), Eddie Ballew, Donnie Ballew (Sandi); grandchildren, Trevor Ballew (Amber), Justin, Melanie, Brent, Skylyr and Amber Ballew; sister, Drama Lee Woody; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 6, 2022 in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Pastor Brian Schuler will officiate with burial in the Lauada Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
