Wanda Faye Blankenship, 59, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Saturday, December 17, 2022. A longtime resident of Bryson City, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Johnny (JP) Parton; parents, Guy and Dorothy Hollifield Blankenship and one brother, Larry Blankenship.
She is survived by her sons, Matthew Hampton and wife Brittany of Cherokee, and Chad Case and wife Alicia of Whittier; daughter, Kristin Parton, son Stephen Parton, and daughter Karen Parton (Tyler) all of Bryson City, and son, Richard Parton and wife Kellie of Asheville; 13 grandchildren; three sisters, Peggy Case and husband Eddie of Central, SC, Linda Mullins and husband Terry of Spartanburg, SC, and Louise Seagle of Bryson City; brothers, Ronnie Blankenship and wife Marie of Union SC, and Gary Blankenship and wife Arlene of Robbinsville, NC.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
