Obituary of Floye Bell DeHart

Floye Arvey DeHart, 91, joined her preceding family in her heavenly home on January 1, 2023. She was a member of Dan Springs Baptist Church. Floye worked 26 years at Swain County Hospital as housekeeping supervisor. She was a renowned seamstress doing various projects for her family and friends. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lillie Arvey; her husband, Percival DeHart; her son, Larry DeHart (US Marine); her grandson, Justin Cochran (US Airforce); sisters, Pearl Lakey, Ellamae Cook, Coralee Postell, and Shirley Douthit; a brother, Earl Arvey, and four infant siblings.
She is survived by one son, Raymond DeHart (Kim); two daughters, Maxine Largent (Kenny), and Anita Brintnall (Gabe); one grandson, Jacob DeHart (Laura); four granddaughters, Joule Lowman (Travis), Angela Barnes, Kaylan Pierontoni (Chad), and Christina Parrish (James); 8 great grandsons, and 2 great granddaughters; two sisters, Dora Carlton and Clara Neil Arvey; two brothers, Wayne and Joe Arvey, and a granddaughter-in-law, Crystal.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Revs. Jim Cochran and Marty Pressley will officiate with burial at Tabor Cemetery in the Brush Creek Community.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Equinox Ranch at PO Box 2586, Cullowhee, NC 28723.
