Donald Elmo Gaskins, 81, of Whittier went home to Rest in Peace on Saturday, January 14, 2023. A longtime resident of Whittier, he was the son of the late Clement Elmo and Nancy Duffield Gaskins. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie Gaskins.
Donald is survived by one daughter, Ann Marie Gispert (Carlos); grandchildren, Malissa Rice (Robert), and Andrew Gispert; special friends, Kent and Lynn Cochran “Ms. Maelee”, Joann Stone Cipher, Jane Hammond, Michael James, Dottie and Marty Saviska, Marg and Tina Klein, Doug Homolka, Jack Bruns, and all the Adventure Trail Campground Family.
No Services are planned at this time.
Inurnment will be at Garrett-Hillcrest Cemetery; 886 Russ Ave, Waynesville, NC 28786.
Crisp Funeral Home is assisting the family.
