Obituary of Alvin Vincent Phillips

Alvin V. Phillips, 66, of the Alarka Community went home to be with the Lord Thursday, March 23, 2023. A native of Swain County he was the son of the late W. B. Phillips and Vinnie Parris Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his step-son, Ryan Creasman.
Alvin was a US Army Veteran having served for 7 years.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joyce Houston Phillips; one son, Daniel Franklin; step-son, Michael Creasman; brother, Darrell Phillips and wife Lisa; five grandchildren, Harmony, Gabriel, Scarlett, Nicholas, and Malachi.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Marty Pressley will officiate with burial at Fred Cochran Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home.
