Obituary of Blondina Lavan Shuler

Blondina Lavan Shuler, 86, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 6, 2023. Blondina was preceded in death by her parents, Lawson Emory and Hyacienth Mildred Huffstetler Shuler. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by four sisters, Aleitha “Lib” Roseman, Moeina Welch, Wanda Lee Shuler and Peggy Shuler; three brothers, Wayne Eustes Shuler, Talmadge Eugene Shuler and Thomas “Tommy” Shuler.
She is survived by three brothers, LD Shuler and wife Betty of Bryson City, Wade Ausby Shuler of Mt. Holly, Vaughn Shuler and wife Sheila of Bryson City; nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Blondina was a seamstress and homemaker. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Bryson City, NC and a friend to many. She loved children and making biscuits was her signature.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Victory Baptist Church. Revs. Matt Shuler and Bryan Schuler will officiate with burial at Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm Sunday at the church.
